curious about working WITH YOUR VOICE?
Oh good! Let’s follow that curiosity. It is a signal from the soul, a beacon from within, calling forth something - even if you do not yet know what that something is.
On a simple level, the practice of learning how to “sing” is really about letting the mind settle and tuning into one’s own instrument (the body). It is about noticing the pleasure of the voice - its vibration and its resonance(s). We activate and elongate the breath. We allow “en-joyment” be our guide and release the performance. We develop technique that supports… enjoyment.
So our first step is to establish the desire, the learning edge, the wish…

“It was voice lessons, therapy, nervous system work, shamanism and meditation all at once. I’ve rarely met a practitioner of any art as skilled and flexible — and LOVING — at what they do as Kath is. I feel honored and grateful to have met and worked with her, and I am forever changed by the experience.”
“Even if I had a thousand words to work with, I could still only just begin to describe how perceptive, compassionate and ultimately effective Kath’s vocal coaching has been for me. She is that good. ”
“I am in awe. I have sent several clients who have been shut down, depressed, and reluctant to speak — much less sing — to Kath for voice lessons. Kath is gentle and playful in ways that are magical. Somehow she can tempt the curiosity in everyone she works with to want to use their voice for self-expression. And for a severely depressed patient, to be able to find play in her voice, THAT is a miracle to behold. ”
“Kath’s 1:1 sessions are magical—a mix of expert vocal support, emotional encouragement and free exploration. I come home from those sessions feeling excited and enthusiastic about whatever project I’m working on. ”
“In 1:1 sessions, workshops and small groups, Kath creates an extraordinarily safe space to dismantle, unlearn and unwind obstacles in the way of the pure joy of co-creating exquisite music, deeply rooted in presence. ”
“Kath is an incredible voice teacher.
She has the rare power of being both knowledgeable about music theory and technique, as well as having a deep understanding of how your voice and your music are a part of who you are as a person, how they relate to your emotions and how they can engage your soul.
She has been a gift to me.
