hello philly: Oct 1 - 4

I’m so excited to be heading to Rumi to be collaborating with my favorite people (who live too far away!), making music and leading a few workshops - especially excited about the Rumi poetry one (see below). If you happen to be out that way, I’d love to see you at one or all of these!

HERE’S THE SCHEDULE SO FAR:

Thursday 7pm - 9pm : Voice as a Portal @ Ron’s Music in the Moment

I’ll be leading a workshop at Ron’s very inspirating space, exploring the voice as a portal into presence, deep listening, pleasure and creativity. Ron will be there of course - and the portal will be especially sweeten, he is a long-time soul brother! We’ll peek into somatic movement, meditation, sound practices, that open up the voice into new realms of embodied practice, play and connection. (Limit 14 people; Sliding scale: $20 - $30)

Sunday 4pm - 6pm: The Ocean in a Drop: Exploring Rumi’s Poetry Though Music and Chant

I’m teaming up with the wonderful, Michael London, to offer a two hour workshop for musicians who, like us, love Rumi. Together, we'll enter Rumi’s mystical verses, not just as readers, but as musicians, singers, and spiritual practitioners. Come to listen, to chant, to improvise, as we explore how Rumi's words can become seeds for new song prayers, improvisations and for the experiential knowing of non-dual, awake-awareness.
